I provide therapy for women who are struggling to find peace and joy in motherhood. This includes pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. Intrusive thoughts, anxiety, low motivation, fatigue, rage, and irritability are just a few of the signs that a mom needs extra support. In my work with mothers, I’ve found that those symptoms are often a sign of something greater going on under the surface. This can be hard on the mom, the baby, and the spouse.
Some of the most important work in therapy for moms is creating a space for moms to feel seen, heard, and validated. Creating a judgement free zone for moms allows them to fully process and understand what they are experiencing and how to fix it.
I understand how hard it can be to find a therapist you trust. As a mom myself, I prioritize the therapeutic experience so that each of my clients feels safe and free to talk openly about the hardships of motherhood without feeling judged. This includes maintaining client confidentiality and respecting each mothers individual experience with motherhood.
Throughout my experience with moms I have seen great transformations through the use of group and individual talk therapy. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), mindfulness, and others to provide moms with the tools and resources they need to thrive. I treat moms with postpartum anxiety, postpartum depression, postpartum OCD, intrusive thoughts, mom rage, relationship troubles, and more.
Therapy for moms can have a lasting effect on not only the mother but the rest of the family as well. A mother’s mental health is vital to cultivating a happy home and positive family environment. I want to help you create the life and motherhood experience you always dreamed of.
I have a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a passion for helping women navigate the hardships of motherhood. Having 3 young children myself, I understand what it’s like to me a mom in this changing world.
As a marriage and family therapist, I also see teens, young adults, couples, and families. I help with anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, communication patterns, anger management, religious/spiritual crisis, and more.
